On November 4, we invite you to a guest lecture with Prof. Andreas Wieland (Copenhagen Business School)

On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 10:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., we will host a guest lecture with Q&A with Prof. Andreas Wieland (Copenhagen Business School) at Leuphana University.
Using the example of supply chain governance, Prof. Andreas Wieland will shed light on how a transformation of socio-ecological systems toward greater resilience can be achieved.

Profile
Dr. Andreas Wieland is an Associate Professor of Supply Chain Management at Copenhagen Business School (CBS) and Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Supply Chain Management. Since 2019, he has served as Program Director of CBS’s HD SCM program. His research focuses on the resilience of global supply chains, considering tensions between linear business models and planetary boundaries.
Andreas has published in leading journals such as International Journal of Logistics Management, Journal of Business Logistics, Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, and the Journal of Supply Chain Management. Beyond academia, he is editor of the blog scmresearch.org and actively engaged in international teaching, including humanitarian logistics courses in Africa and executive education in Europe.
He has received multiple awards for both research and teaching, including several Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence. Before joining CBS in 2014, Andreas worked at the Technical University of Berlin, where he also earned his doctorate in economics (summa cum laude).
