Online Talk: Trisha Cruz on "Corporate Conscience"

On 10 June, Trisha Cruz presented her PhD project in an online event organised jointly by the GO-Chains Knowledge Space and the Joachim Herz Doctotal School. Her presentation titled ‘Shifting Corporate Conscience: From Voluntary to Mandatory Due Diligence’ takes a closer look at cases where the ineffectiveness of voluntary due diligence measures is questioned. Its aim is to re-establish the need for mandatory due diligence measures such as the CSDD and similar mandatory regulations by analysing (the effectiveness of) existing voluntary due diligence measures. To this end, Trisha analyses evidence from relevant studies, case law and OECD jurisprudence from the last twenty years.
